Quick Judgment! - Sunday, May 11, 2003

I've heard a lot of talk recently that does not appear to be going away anytime soon. Whether it is your favorite Hollywood liberal talking or a Democratic Presidential candidate, their favorite new question is, "Where are all of those 'weapons of mass destruction' the selected President Bush based this war on."

If you listen closely, you will still hear mainstream liberals use the term selected and not elected, they are still upset about Gore not winning the last presidential election. Anyway, is it not enough that America liberated the Iraq people while removing a radical dictator who could have devastated the entire world all in less than a month and all the left could talk about is how Coalition forces did not make sure to protect an Iraqi museum. I guess they were too busy worrying about the troops lives, go figure. While it is true that America has not found the 'weapons of mass destruction' that was being talked about before the war, the fact is we are still looking and testing chemicals that have found. With all the wasted time before the war, Saddam had plenty of time to move and hide those 'weapons of mass destruction' in Syria.

Now lets move on to the WWE. While liberals quickly try to point to any downfalls of the war, wrestling fans quickly try to point out any fault WWE has with using Bill Goldberg. Right after The Rock came after Goldberg and showed that he was human after all, fans were pissed. Let's face it, in WCW Goldberg had nowhere to go but down. When a wrestler does nothing but win and that's the gimmick, how can he top that? It was an excellent move for WWE to show he isn't immortal, but they have to watch it to not fall into WCW's trap. At some point he will need to loose but WWE will have to make sure to do it properly or they will really make a mess of things and fans will be there to let them know. Singers are not Politicians! - Friday, April 25, 2003

As you may have noticed, this issue is a bit late, but I will blame it on Easter Break. Now on to our hot topic of the week, the Dixie Chicks.

If you missed what has been going on with the country stars, the Dixie Chicks, they have been creating quite a stir. Originally singer Natalie Maines spoke out against President Bush while on tour in London. “Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas,” she told her fans in the audience.

This and other comments led to fans in the US destroying their Dixie Chicks albums not only in private, but also as a public spectacle. Diane Sawyer interviewed them on Primetime Thursday earlier this week where Maines made it clear that had no clue about foreign policies and she is just one of those typical Hollywood liberals who was just playing up to her audience.

While the WWE and WCW have had its shares of anti-American wrestling personalities over the past several decades, the difference between the wrestlers and the Dixie Chicks are that the wrestling fans love to hate heels, while certain Americans now just plain hate the Dixie Chicks. Fans may hate the Canadian Crippler Chris Benoit for a while but then love him later on. Could this be because fans know it is entertainment, or because they are fickle and forget or change there minds very easily. Maybe if Stone Cold Steve Austin went on a late night talk show and made anti-American comments, he would get the same treatment as the Dixie Chicks. Anyway you look at it, wrestlers should stick with wrestling and musicians should just stay out of politics and do their singing. And just in case they don’t, they should be prepared for sales to plummet. From Missouri's Capitol here in the great USA, this is Greg Smith aka CajunnX reporting.

Wrestlers to the Rescue? - Tuesday, April 15, 2003

This was a very happy week for soldiers and families as coalition forces rescued seven prisoners of war Sunday. After three weeks of being captured, U.S. Marines busted into where the POWs were being held and brought the Americans back to freedom. Pfc. Patrick Miller, 23, of Park City, Kan. recalls the moment the troops came in. "I was sitting there, and the next thing I know, the Marines are kicking in the door, saying get down on the floor. They said, 'If you're an American, stand up.' We stood up and they hustled us out of there."

This is excellent news to hear no matter if you are for or against the war and I am sure all the staff here at #WWF_RAW will join me in wishing all the troops a safe return home.

While it may have taken forces three weeks to rescue the troops, no doubt wrestlers like The Hurricane could have easily had this done in two. In fact, this war has lasted longer than it could have. Seriously, just think of how much quicker, if that’s possible, this war could have been if wrestlers like The Rock, SCSA and Goldberg were to go into Baghdad. I think a show of force by our wrestlers would scare the pants off Iraqi soldiers. Think back to a movie Goldberg starred in, Universal Soldier: The Return. If any of you actually saw this movie, you would understand what I mean. Goldberg could go running in and just topple the regime. Instead of tanks being used to pull over statues, Goldberg could have done it with one spear. From Missouri’s Capitol here in the great USA, this is Greg Smith aka CajunnX reporting.
